Candle Turned Into Planter!

We love all things re-usable! One of our favorite items in the store right now are these ceramic candles! Once you've burned through the candle, you can reuse the ceramic container for a plant! The candle has a hole at the bottom for drainage and you can use the lid as a tray for catching water.

We have 5 different scents available, all housed in different containers. Choose your favorite scent or favorite container and you can get started! We'll show you how to turn your candle into a planter.

Once you've burned through the wax, boil water and carefully pour it into the ceramic container. (Put the candle in a bowl to avoid making a mess!) The hot water will melt the wax and pull it to the surface. Wait 2-3 hours for the water and wax to cool. The wax will harden at the surface and you will be able to pull it out easily. Once the wax is removed from the candle, wash the vessel with warm soapy water to remove any residue.

Now it's time to plant! Choose your favorite plant that you want to put in the vessel. We chose this cute succulent. Use the correct soil for the type of plant that you want to pot. Fill the candle, now turned planter, with soil and plant your plant! Give the little guy a sip and watch him grow! Make sure you put the candle lid underneath the pot to catch water that will drain out the bottom.
